History:
Minimatics, Inc., founded in 1961, provides precision machining services to the high tech community in Silicon Valley and other locations around the globe. By the early 1980's Minimatics had grown from a small job shop to a manufacturer of hard disk drive parts, shipping over a million hard drive components each week. Today we make components for the medical, aerospace, telecom and other industries and our expertise in machining ranges from exotic “controlled expansion alloys” to commonly used metals and plastics. We routinely machine to tolerances of one 20th of the diameter of a human hair. We consistently exceed our customer's standards. We became ISO certified in 2005 and our manufacturing system now conforms to ISO 9001:2008 standards. Each year we are re-certified by outside auditors. In addition to our ISO 9001:2008 certification, which is available for viewing at the bottom of the page, Minimatics is also registered as a manufacturer under the ITAR program administered by the U.S. State Department's Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. The International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) govern the import and export of items and services on the United States Munitions List.
